Terms and conditions for expressions of interest

For the purposes of administering the expression of interest process for C-Further, Cancer Research Horizons will act as the operational manager and be responsible for the collection and proper handling of all information (including personal data) shared in connection with the expression of interest application.  

Because C-Further is funded jointly with LifeArc, it is necessary for Cancer Research Horizons and LifeArc to share information from any application with each other. The information may also be shared to, held and processed by external peer reviewers, experts and other appointees, government and relevant regulatory authorities, higher education funding councils and other research organisations, funding bodies, commercial or non-commercial partner organisations, and donors or potential donors for the purposes of administering and evaluating the expression of interest application and in the course of inviting or administering donations or third-party commitments to support the expression of interest application, or applications of a similar nature to ensure the best science is progressed in the most efficient way for children and young people affected by cancer. 

The personal data that will be shared includes: researcher names; job titles/positions; host institutions/organisations and locations; professional qualifications, positions and accolades; current research programmes; contact details (email and phone); and salaries.  

If at any stage there is a need to share your personal data with any organisation outside of the UK, Cancer Research Horizons will ensure there are relevant contractual provisions in place to safeguard the transfer of personal data. 

The individual submitting the expression of interest is required to have confirmed on behalf of each named researcher (or collaborator) on the application, that they consent to all information in the expression of interest application (including the personal data listed above) being shared between Cancer Research Horizons, LifeArc and other individuals or other organisations for the purposes listed above.
